COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Each person’s test in this world differs from the next and it is not for us to question anyone’s taqdeer. It is a fact that for so many the test of life is the most basic of resources, that many of us never have to even consider, as in food, water or shelter.

Over the years we have worked with various communities serving cooked meals, providing food parcels at collection points across the city and even with adjusted lockdown rules, with the help of the Almighty, our door-to-door deliveries were possible so as not to create group gatherings. Food parcels are done on a weekly basis covering different areas throughout the month via the outreach program.

Prior to the onset of the pandemic, we had collection points we serviced weekly. Once Covid arrived the number steadily escalated and we quickly realized that it was not just the unfortunate but also many that once had employment, were now in dire need for resources, specifically basic food parcels.

Further to this, even the young kids you normally find at the robots collecting whatever they can for their families to survive were no longer allowed to be at the robots. These are uncontested facts to how dismal some peoples situations have become, and it is impossible to even put into words.

There are so many more people in need of these essentials compared to before Covid and should we choose this time to believe that our Almighty has sent this pandemic as a reminder to humankind of His presence and will, then we must use this opportunity to fulfill our duty to humankind, open our hearts and earn the favors of our Lord.
